How can logistic and transportation companies nowadays ensure a maintaining of the cooling chains with the transport of e.g. pharmaceuticals and other temperature sensitive products?
Exactly this is tested by Ugra on the basis of climate simulations. The cooling transport containers are exposed to tropical and arctic climates and afterwards evaluated.
General Information about the Cooling Transport Containers
Cooling boxes are used for the transportation of vaccines, Insulin, blood transfusions and other temperature sensitive products. All temperature requirements from 2°C to 8°C must be kept accurately from the commissioning to the distribution, without that the quality of the cargo is damaged.
According to the GDP guidelines (Good Distribution Practice) the complete cooling chain must be validated. Information of the cooling box manufacturer alone are not sufficient, it must be confirmed by neutral institutes. Incomplete cooling chains particularly with health related issues result in grave consequences for the causer.
