OKS Directive on the quality and design of refuse bags (2024)

Description

The directive aims to standardise refuse sacks for households, businesses and industry. This standardisation and the associated regulations regarding quality and design are intended to ensure hygienic, functional and safe waste disposal in the interests of waste collection companies, households and refuse sack manufacturers.

This directive applies to black refuse bags that are available on the open market without charge, as well as to official chargeable bags produced on behalf of cities, municipalities or special-purpose associations.

SVKI members can obtain these guidelines free of charge from the association’s office or from the SVKI InfraShop. Licensees of the OKS label (manufacturers) also receive the guideline free of charge as contractual partners of the SVKI.
