Packaging testing

We test packing materials and packagings on the basis of test standards or customer-specific test plans.

Packing material testing

We test the basic material properties of paper, cardboard and corrugated board as well as plastic film. This includes in particular the application of physical, chemical, microbiological and sensory test procedures according to specified methods, which are mostly normed as test standards. The tests serve to determine specific, reproducible properties of the products to be tested and are required both for the development of new packaging and for checking packaging materials already in production.

Packagings and packaging materials

The logistical purpose of packaging is to provide the goods in the desired qualitative condition at the right time and place in the required quantity. This is not always successful. Transport damage amounting to more than 1 billion euros annually proves that goods are protected to a considerable extent by inadequate packaging and securing. When packing and providing goods, special attention must therefore be paid to the product-specific characteristics. In this way, hidden transport damage, which only becomes visible much later, can be prevented.

Retail packagings

For the retail trade, packaging solutions such as carrier bags and pouches literally play a key role, because they protect what needs to be transported safely. But they are also advertising and information carriers for companies and their brands. The faithful reproduction of brand colours and logos is the main focus here.
Your product is in good hands with us. We test and analyse the specified requirements and confirm their conformity.
