Colour-consistent digital proofs or print samples are checked using a spectralphotometer and an analysis software. For this purpose a color bar like Ugra/Fogra Media Wedge CMYK v3.0 is used to determine the CIEL*a*b* chromaticity. Depending on the selected evaluation method Ugra CertifyPrint calculates all normative criteria as well as additional informative ones. The complete evaluation is summarized in a report.
The report can be saved as PDF document and a quality label can be printed in order to mark the evaluated sample. Furthermore, it is recommended to apply an Ugra Light Indicator D50 self-adhesive strip on the proof to check the ambient light conditions at any time. When matching visually the colours of a proof the user can easily recognize, if the ambient light conditions are equivalent to standard illuminant D50. A different ambient light leads to metamerism effects and misinterpretations in terms of colour perception.
Ugra CertifyPrint supports the following spectralphotometers:
Depending from the device the standardized measurement conditions M0, M1, M2 and M3 acc. to ISO 13655:2009 can be used. If no device is connected, the software runs in a virtual mode.
Industrial-proven control strips and colour charts are already preinstalled. Customized control strips can be imported in the standardized file format ANSI CGATS.17-2009. In a future version the new Color Exchange Format (CxF3) acc. to ISO 17972-1:2015 will be supported.
Ugra CertifyPrint supports all essential standardized characterization data sets.

The measurements and the correspondent differences to the selected reference are detailed shown in the test report:
The measurement values can be exported as CSV or CGATS.17 file format according to the following criteria:
The test report can be exported to PDF or printed as a label.
